Air-Recirculation-Flap Spring Replacement; Where's the other end go?

I found the air-recirculation-flap spring broken today
(as expected from the windshield fogginess lately).
It was hanging from the flap, so I know where that end
attaches, but it's not obvious to me where the other
end should attach.  Can someone tell me?  Chris
Miller's site doesn't actually say, although it
explains how to reuse the spring if just one end broke
off, as mine did.
