3B and AAN oil pan incompatibility

Taka,
    Was just at my local Audi tuner who is putting a 3B in 4000 - and
guess what? ... he has added AAN windage tray in the 3B using two
gaskets.  He said (as others have stated), you just remove the oil pick
up first and then re-install after adding the windage tray.  I don't
know what either looks like, and as I pushed him for more information.,
Chris, the mechanic, said he had more trouble brushing his teeth this
morning than installing the tray.  I guess it is easier to show someone
how to brush your teeth than try to explain it.
