Bernie-
Okay- I wasn't sure if you knew this. I just don't like to
propagate the myth that stainless steel is corrosion-proof.
If one really wanted to make a steel piece nearly corrosion-proof
and extremely durable, all you need to do is coat it in Tenifer.
The downside is that I have heard second-hand that the treatment process
is very environmentally-unfriendly, making this type of coating undoable
in the US.
