Adjusting Preload

I'm confused, when you put a stiffer spring in,
shouldn't boost with the WGFV unpluged be higher? I've
screwed in the allen on top of the wg a couple turns
and it doesn't seem to affect peak boost. Boost comes
on a lot sooner, but it only goes to 1.4 like it did
before. When I plug in the WGFV, I hit 1.8 bar just
like it's supposed to.
