Peter,
I had a similar occurance with my 200... the screeching part... very loud.
Only in heavy rain, not engine speed related.  Turned out to be the backing
plates on my brakes were being put into some odd state of resonance when
there was significant water on the road.  My brakes were G60s at that time,
not UFOs.  I simply bent the backing plates away from the rotors slightly and
it ceased.
