I was running IA stage IV or V with a Garrett T04/50
turbo, RS2 injectors and MAF and IA exh manifold.
The 2.7 Bar abs is the max close to 4.000 rpm with a
programmed falling slope to 2.2 at 7.000.
But I had problems with over-boost.
You can see the dyno testruns at
http://home7.inet.tele.dk/vegener/page3.html
http://home7.inet.tele.dk/vegener/page23.html
After running the kkk24 springloadet to 2.3Bar abs
I changed over-night to the Garrett after it returned from service.
w.o other change the measured boost fall to 2.1 Bar and the performance
measured with the G-Tech Pro changed from 0-60 Mph
5.54 sec to 4.96 sec due to the fact, that the loss is smaller at the bigger
turbo giving cold air.
Later I raised the boost to 2.6-2.7 bar but quite often the overboost fuel shutoff
gave me problems.
I think, there is a problem with the ceramic thrust ball bearings in the compressor house.
They are very sensible, but that's another story
Claus
