This was asked on the quattro list. Passing it on for a critque:

20V 200's are 1991 only. They are the first "S4" which started in 1992.
Automatic 200's are 10V's w/ Frontwheel drive in the 1991 year.
200 20V are 5 speed only in the US. They have the flared wheel wells.
The radiator has a fusable link on the wheel well on the drivers side.
This part is like ~$3.00 at the dealer.
There is a resistor setup in front of the radiator which does the fan
speeds.
That part is more expensive.
No fan - cheap part fusable link.
Turn on key so dash lights up, and press automatic on the digital climate
control.
If the fan runs (in the engine bay) fusable link OKAY.

Some parts are expensive.
My opinion is that the 20V motor is easier to work around than the 10V.
HP is 20V - 217 vs 10V 162.
10v spark plug $3.00 20V spark plug ~$15
1991 20V range from 4K - 10K as the enthusiasts like to keep this rare car.
Street price is lower to the general public

10V CIS
20V fuel injection
both use distributor but the cap/rotor is slightly different IMPORTANT!

UFO are 20V and V8 brake rotors. -Specific to this 1991 20V /struts etc.
Dealer fix to the UFO was to use older and less capable 10V rotors from
~1990 etc.

Soft brakes probably need a brake flush/bleed with new fluid.

I can snap photos if you wish.

Thanks in advance. I have been short of time to do a google seach on the
Audifans site. I'll sign up for the 20v list too for more info.

Thanks again.

Thanks to all who responded to my email on various vehicles I'm looking at
currently. One of you suggested a 200 and I have seen two 1991 200q's loca=
lly for sale. I'd like to know what things I should look for on these cars.
