Dealer fix, North America (US?) only was to install the "conventional"
rotor & caliper from the 1992 S4...identical dimension (diameter,
thickness) to the 1990 and earlier 10v turbo quattros, but depth of hat
(bell) is deeper on the later cars due to a slightly wider front
track.  There are some other differences in piece parts--certain strut
pieces are forged vs stamped, ball-joint size differs, etc.  Some
owner-modified cars may have used the earlier (more readily available) parts.
