Fitting wheels over UFOs

Listers,

     I'm braking happily and effectively with my new UFO rotors, but my stock
wheels are both small and rather worn from the PO's lack of parallel parking
finesse (ie: major curb rash).  I was looking around and the 17'' Avus wheels
are very nice, nice enough to spring for if they would fit over the UFO's up
front.  Anyone have some BTDT with regard to fitting aftermarket wheels-tires
over UFO's?  If the Avus won't work....what will?
