V8 sway bars

I remember some people on the list putting V8 front sway bars on their
cars.
Considering that these cars understeer a bit by nature, wouldn't putting
a bigger bar on the front  tend to cause more understeer?
A friend sent me the Tire Rack Tech page on what changes to make to a
car to alter how it works and it states putting a bigger sway bar on the
front will cause
the car to have more understeer.
