Phil,

I tend to agree most of the time with the above statement. If I have a part
that was working on my old salvage car that I can swap to the new car, I'll
likely do it. However, due to the very remote region where I live, the lack
of traffic and the cold winter temps, I'll be pretty careful about swapping
old parts that, if they fail, can leave me stranded - that could literally
be fatal. 5 miles to the nearest house, no cell phone coverage, fuel pump
quits and it's 30 below is not a pretty scenario. Yes, I do carry a "winter
package" but I would not like to have to test it.

My old fuel pump had at least 125k mi on it - I could see no reason to swap
it over. Even though it seemed to be working fine.

So far I have swapped glove bax latches, pentosin reservoir caps, alternator
and heater control valves. The starter is planned in the near future as the
one in the old car is less than a yr old. Bilsteins will follow shortly
also.
