Craig the Gorge,

If you buy a Blaupunkt head unit the Audi head unit connectors will plug
right into it, requiring only the swapping a few pins in one of the
connectors to adapt to the new Blaupunkt configuration.  Using any other
brand, you must cut off the Audi connectors and splice all the wires to the
new connectors.
