idle problem

Dave,

I've not had the problem on the 200 with the Bosch rotary ISV, but it is a
very common problem on the 7A engine using the Hitachi linear ISV. See the
20V archives and repair section. The trick is to not force the ECU to
control idle speed from zero up, which causes hunting, instability of the
idle speed. So, fix the minimum idle speed without ECU control to 700/750
RPM. Do this, with engine hot, by unpluging the ISV and adjusting the TAB
(throttle air bypass) to the above RPM.
