Paul, you can buy a plastic nipple from a dealer for about $20.  Clean up the
fitting and use JB Weld or equivalent.  I did this repair to my old 86 5000
Avant, to the origional radiator at 175k miles, and the current owner has
over 300k on the origional radiator with this repair.

The cause of the failure is usually overheating.  If you don, t mind the
expense, it is generally more secure to buy a new radiator.
