1991 200 turbo Quattro 20V with rotor/engine issues

Thank you for your assistance.  Since the next closest Audi shop is 2 hours
and $300 away.  I will take your advice and ask the tech to check the timing
marks as Dave suggested below.  If it is out of time- I'll sell to a lister
or donate, if its just a distributor then I'll fix her with a smile.  Thanks
for shedding light on an otherwise miserable ordeal.

You're perfectly right Dave! Agreed 100%, except that I'd give the pro 3
hours to replace the distributor in the Audi-way (removing the IM) because
this is what's in the factory manual and an Audi mechanic won't do
otherwise IMO...
