Anybody ever heard of this?

I was casually following this thread until I went to lunch and on page 3 in
the Denver newspaper is a story about a college woman who was recently
murdered and the suspect was known to imitate police--drive around with red
and blue lights. The paper gave the same tips, regarding being stopped by
an unmarked vehicle or plain-clothes cop, that some of these replies have
mentioned--driving to well-lit area, calling dispatch, etc. In Colorado you
can call *CSP or *DUI according to the Rocky Mountain News to verify that
you are being stopped by a legitimate police car. Or 970-239-4518.
