all lights except for the headlights are not working

You probably have (had) an "open" instead of a short, in the wires that go
to the trunk lid lights that get flexed every time the trunk is opened - a
"short" would cause the fuse for that circuit to blow and wouldn't work
again until you put in a new fuse. Prepare to lay down in the (open) trunk
and unwrap the wiring harness running up the trunklid supports (I believe
most of the lighting wires are on driver's side, vacuum line and alarm (?)
wires for lock on passenger side. After you get good at
soldering/heatshrinking in new wiring segments you can move on to the
driver's door :)
