Direction of CV ball cage?

It's been many years since I assembled a couple of 5K outer joints and don't
at this point remember about a chamfered edge on the cages.  But as I
remember they would only go together the correct way and not end up being
locked up.  The earlier Bentleys were more descriptive in this respect.
Try assembling one dry both ways.  See if there is a difference in the
joint's deflection angle.
