I tried to remove the pulley when I first rebuilt my pump (5 yrs ago)
but used a cheap puller which failed, and so I left it alone. My
philosophy was: QWYA (Quit While You're Ahead). During the
more-recent (#2) rebuild I didn't even _try_ to replace the pulley
seal. It still wasn't leaking, so I decided not to fix it if it
wasn't...whoops! The same philosophy of "benign neglect" was applied
to the internal o-rings, although I did change them first time around.
Another difficulty can be getting at the check valve seals. Some have
no trouble getting them out; others have a devil of a time loosening
those tiny Allen screws. Mine, fortunately, weren't leaking and so
they still haven't been replaced in either of the rebuilds.
