When it rains, it pours

Went to head home this afternoon, turned the key and no starter. Discovered
that the ignition switch is broken and in the on position. Called the wife
to come over a pick me up - 30 mile drive. She calls back 5 mins later
saying she has locked her set of keys in her car. Here in the "country", we
always leave the keys in the car and after a long rodeo weekend, she must
have forgotten that :-)

She called a friend that fortunately was headin' that direction anyway.

After thinking about it., I thought as long as the ignition was constantly
on, we may as well try to push start it. Worked great. Of course I had to
have the key in the on position to unlock the steering wheel. Drove it home,
parked on my hilly driveway, put it in 5th and let the clutch out to kill
it. Then disconnected the battery.

I don't think that swapping ignition switches from my old parts car is a
good idea, so I guess I go buy a new one. Hopefully they are too too spendy.
