Oxygen Sensor Replacement

Hi

I just replaced my oxygen sensor on my 91 200tq because my car was running
rich. Getting the old sensor off and screwing the new one in could hot have
been easier, but I could not get the old 2 prong plug end off the mounting
bracket. (I plugged new  connector into the cars' end, leaving it to dangle
until it figure out how to get old end off and mount it correctly.) I'm sure
somebody else has suffered from this really stupid issue as well, SO PLEASE
HELP! How do I properly, and hopefully easily, get the old connector off the
bracket?
