euro light bulb replacement

I struggled with this just last week. Is this the time of year for bulbs to
go out? I did the passenger side and was unable to twist it out with the
plastic ears top and bottom. I was able get a screw driver on the right side
(facing rear of car) metal tab and push it down, releasing the retainer.
Using a mirror is helpful in seeing what to do. Installing with plastic
tabs was not a problem.

owners. I lost the low beam driver's side. I tried to get the bulb out last
night and was totally frustrated. What am I missing? I see clips on top and
bottom that appear to release the bulb but I cannot get my hand in there and
get both at once.
