I wonder if anything has been discussed more thoroughly on these 
lists than symptoms of rear speaker amp failure, the fire hazard that 
is associated with rear amp failure, and finally-- Audi's "Bose 
speaker-amp recall"? Perhaps you've already had the recall done by 
Audi--if so, your problem (i.e., if with a new Bose rear amplifier) 
would be the first reported here. If you're still using the defective 
Bose rear amps--don't ignore Audi's recall anouncements and get them 
replaced--pronto.
