Avant pictogram issues

I believe that is the semi-well-known symptom of solder joints in the
instrument cluster starting to go bad. When the "light tap to top of dash"
method becomes ineffective, you will need to remove the cluster and redo the
connections - or, of course, ignore the problem. Sorry about that, and no
personal BTDT from me but lots in the archives (are they working now?).
