Dave,
I think that you were shipping oranges when the subject discussion concerns
cord wood.  

Each of your Cats will fit in a 4"x6"x12" carton, thus your $12.UPS cost is
reasonable.
  
The Cat back three piece stock 200-20V exhaust system is one heavy monster,
the longest piece of which is 7' long.  A weldament of both the center and
rear mufflers and interconnecting pipes, virtually impossible to crate.
