Ingo,

Mine does this occasionally. I can turn the climate control off and it will
still blow warm air out the top vents. I've found that using the A/C
postition rather than the econ position works a little better.

We were driving acroos eastern Washington a month ago with it about 5 deg
outside. I had a heck of a cold draft on my feet and my wife was getting her
feet roasted with heat, even though everything was off.
