CD Changer - modulator source?

Steve,
I've had the same problem. In the past I've found that changing the FM
frequency on the modulator helps, but I've not been able to make that
problem go away permanently. Has someoby also been able to troubleshoot the
problem and pinpoint it from the modulator and not the CD player?
As to location, if the question's not already been answered, it's under the
passenger side kick panel, more or less behind the glove box.
If somebody does find another source, or a way to fix the unit, please let
me know. I priced a new CD player w/modulator and was not quite ready to
bite the bullet on that one.

Hi Jim,
How did you eventually solve this? I need to repair the same symptom.
Thanks,

On my system the FM from the cd player cuts out after the first couple of
songs. My question is, where is the fm converter located in the car? Also
can i just replace the converter or is it integrated with the cd player?
thanks
jim
