UFO front rotors

Yeah, they're not going to be able to gain access to a spot where they
can measure actual rotor thickness without removing it. They can
however I believe clamp their caliper on something else on the outside
edge that might look like the right thing but would be much thinner.
I can't imagine that those rotors for under 100 bux are/were UFO's.
Gotta be sure you're talking about the ATE brake system and not the
Girling G60.
