Brake Bleed Q:

Scott-
I don't know if this is normal or not, but I have found that in
bleeding my brake system, I have to do a full bleed twice to get the
pedal feel right. I bleed once, then turn on the ignition (but not
start the car), feel the ABS pump activate and do its thing (at this
point pedal feel goes crappy), then bleed once again. After doing
this, the pedal feel is great, no problems, no ABS pump actuation the
second time around.

This cannot be the correct procedure because it's too lengthy, but it
works for me. BTDT on smoking brakes at the Glen, but not the rears
(Hawk HPS lasted me a full year even w/ 7 track days), but rather the
fronts (I guess 135+ on the back straight takes its toll on your
brakes).
