I'll bet you disconnected the battery ( didn't you)? That can cause 
the airbag light to start coming on. Does it turn off after the car 
runs for a few minutes? That's the most common situation when the 
battery is disconnected (for airbags that have had the airbag recall 
work done). In other cases I've heard the light remains on 
indefinitely until reset.
