I believe other cruise control problems are due to leaky connections in the
cruise vacuum system. I have experienced cruise control functions missing
on cold mornings that reappear once under hood temperatures increase due to
engine operation or later in the day when the ambient temperature
increases. My pedal switches are good, so I suspect a connection under the
hood or under the left front fender leaks when cold but leaks less when
warmer.
