Hmm. Brendan Rudack and a buddy of his did mine a few years back when he
was in Michigan -- but he's in CO now. IME you can have the TO bearing last
1,000 mile or 10,000 miles -- but when it goes, your car won't :-( Around
here German Motor Works in Waterford has a lot of fans. Give Stefan a call
(don't have the number on me).

Subject: Clutch throwout bearing seems to be going

It started on the way to work today, as a pulsation in the clutch as it
is engaged and disengaged. I figured it was something to do with the clutch,
but when parking the garage this evening, I heard a pretty bad bearing
sound from the car as I press the clutch in.

With 220k+, I believe I need to do the full clutch job even though the rest
of the clutch may be fine (sorry Bernie),.Has anyone of you actually done
this themselves? any advice??? I plan to do the engine rear, and tranny
front seals while this R&R happens.

This may be the first time the q gets to go to a mechanic.....
Ingo, Shawn? any mechanic recommendations?

Alan Cordeiro
