Dan:  I had the tranny worked on a year ago.  My guess is one side forgot to 
get torqued down..........seems logical?  Not a serious problem IMHO.
three track events and 10+ thousand miles before BOOM!

Not a normal precheck item either....... Lug nuts, belts, fluids, Oil 
etc............
