Mobil 1 test

FWIW, I have burned Mobil 1 in every one of my cars since I have had cars:
 
1982 Audi 5000S from new to 150K when I sold it.
1986 BMW 735i from 60K when I got it to 130K when I sold it.
1994 Chrysler Town and Country minivan from new to now 150K - still have it.
1991 Audi 20V 200 from 60K when I got it to now 90K - still have it.
1997 Land Rover Range Rover from 32K when I got it to now 85K - still have it.  
 
On all those cars, I changed filters at 5K intervals (with the usual 3/4 quart topup), and replaced the oil at 25K miles.  I have never had any engine oil related problem whatsoever, and none of the cars ever consumed any oil.  Those results seem to agree pretty well with the study results of the Mobil 1 test link posted by Bob.
