Thanks Peter, That is probably the next place to go.  Not sure if I mentioned 
that when the car has sat overnight (10 degrees), the problem does not occur 
until the car is driven a few miles.  Someone else thought that the hose 
between the master and the slave could be beginning to fail and is expanding.  To 
me it feels like I am not getting full disengagement.  The problem in 1st and 
2nd greatly improved with the new master and slave.
