Especially with a monobloc caliper, I don't see much in the way of
things that could really bite you. If we were talking rear Audi
calipers that would be one thing (I'd never buy one of those used),
but there isn't much to go wrong in a regular caliper, save seals and
boots. If the boots are ripped, you might have bore or piston
pitting/rust. A seal kit would be a good idea if they're a couple
years old, as would disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
If you don't get any definite answers, I have a friend who is a
Porsche mechanic, and I wouldn't mind giving him a ring to ask.
