Transmission Question

Ive just spent probably the past 2 hours goin through
the archives just reading prior posts. I came across
one on transmissions, i forget what year and month but
one of the responses was along the lines of the "not
so bulletproof transmission of the 200 20v". Are these
transmissions known to go after some time?
