climate control lights wierdness

Andy:

Did they use the correct replacement switch?
Is the lock cylinder potentially damaged? - there's a " finger" in the back 
of the cylinder which inserts into the actual electrical switch.

When you put a car in the start position, all the accessories are 
temporarily turned off- most of the battery power goes to the starter.
