heater core question

Silicone caulk is the best and highest temp elastomeric sealent that you
could use.  It cures by absorbing moisture from the air and is so doing
gives off acetic acid, vinegar smell.  Should only last a few hours or maybe
longer is very thick.  Not to worry.

Did you check the blower brushes while you were in there?
