hydraulic problems--R and R in the dark with a dead flash light

Mine did the same last year. It was one of the O-ring seals in the pump, 
hoses were OK. I bought the rebuild kit (a bunch of O-rings) and spent about 2 1/2 
hours rebuilding the pump.  Don't mess with the shaft seal unless it leaks.  
Pretty straight forward job, the archives or one of the Audi sites has a play 
by play.
