Ignition timing sensor removal

I want to remove the ignition timing sensor and possibly the ignition speed  
sensor from my 200q to clean them and also check to see if the flywheel pins 
are  in place (currently suffering a no-start condition, and the ignition 
timing  sensor came up on the vag com).
 
any hints how to get this sucker out of its holder?  do I pull  out?  Pry?
