Wheel Offset

Chuck-
I don't know how helpful I can be, but the real answer is "it depends on the
wheel."
You can't assume that there is enough clearance just by the offset alone-
you
need to consider the spoke clearance which varies from wheel to wheel.
You really would have to test-fit them to see. I had a set of S4tt wheels on
my
200 and it worked fine with the UFOs as well as with the Porsche brakes.
These
were 45 offset. I've seen 35 offset wheels that don't come even close to
clearing.
Are you specifically looking for a 15" or a 16" wheel? I know that the 16"
wheels
that are designed to fit an A6 2.7T will definitely clear your UFOs, even in
a 45 offset.
A4s run much smaller brakes (until '05.5) so it's a bit trickier for
fitment.
There are 15" steel wheels that will clear UFOs- search the archives, I
can't remember
who sells them.
