I ran Stock V8 springs on my 89 10v Avant with Koni Sports @ %75 and WHAT A
WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE. I too wanted to keep the clearance. A additional big
help on body roll was (Now this is experiential, not out of my dusty physics
text) putting Energy suspension Polyurethane bushing on the front sway bar.

I don't recommend the brackets they come with as mine ended up shearing. I
used the stock bushing brackets and trimmed the poly bushing to fit a little
better. BIG improvement.
My advice is cheap,
