Cant you temporally swap the cps with the other rpm sensor? Same
sensors, just different uses. Worth a try in my book

Subject: CPS Issue...Update
Stealer told me they were "sure" the 3b would start if they replaced the
CPS
for $500. It didn't.
To cover for their blatant incompetence, they then claimed "someone
screwed
with the wiring harness"; in other words, it isn't their fault.
Strange, as it drove 1k miles non-stop without an electrical gremlin and
my
inspection revealed no strange wiring issues.
Told Dover Auto World (an Audi/ Porsche stealer in NH) to take my car
off
their lift so I can have it towed to a competent wrench.
It will be towed to Northern European Automotive of Concord, NH.
Dover Auto World claimed their "chief tech" spent 12 hours on the 3b and
still failed to diagnose the no-start condition.
Thanks to listers who provided input.
Will keep the list updated...I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat.

PS- Told the Auto World tech that they're not getting one red cent from
me;
further, they were informed Audi of America will hear my story. Tech
said
"OK, no charge". Good answer!
