Oops, sent that partial one by mistake.
Thanks to all who responded to my Denver shop inquiry. I've got one of the local Porsche /Audi dealership technicians who does work on the side looking at my car and it looks like the turbo is the cause of the excessive oil consumption and smoking - didn't pass the emissions test either. So I need a new turbo or maybe a rebuilt one or a used one with substantially fewer miles on it than mine has (230K). The Audi dealership quoted me $1900 for a new one - ouch!!! 
Any advice or ideas on this would be much appreciated. What is a good source for remanufactured turbos?
