turbo - longevity?

Seeing as how Whit's turbo went 230k, I was wondering
what the average life span of the original turbo is. 
I've got 190k on mine and have been waiting for it to
die inorder to upgrade to a larger hybrid turbo.

Was going to sell the car until I decided I couldn't
bear to part with it after seeing the prices most of
these were selling for. (that and the blower motor).
