sloppy shifter - turn bose stereo

Ah- something I can comment upon:
The front speakers are very limited- you'll have to remove the Bose
enclosures in the front doors and fab up some plates to adapt to the
mounting points. Then you should be able to fit 6.5" mids in the front
doors. I'd mount the tweeters low to minimize path length differences.
Otherwise, you'll be limited to 4" components in the doors if you use the
stock enclosures.
I would not put anything in the dash- tweeters mounted there are far too
harsh, reflecting off the windshield.
The rear deck will take 6x9" speakers.
BTW, you'll need a good outboard amp to make it sound good.
I used the following setup on my old car:
a/d/s P640 amp (6ch. x 40W) powering all speakers
Boston 4" components in the front (mids in door, tweeters in dash, not a
good setup, too harsh)
Boston 6x9 coax in the back
Sony ES CD receiver
12ga. wire throughout (no factory wiring for any of the speakers)
The only thing I would have done differently would be to ditch the Bose
enclosures and do custom plates for 6.5" components in the doors with the
tweeters mounted low next to the mid and use a speaker with a silk dome
tweeter for smoothness on the high end.
