Thanks for the info Taka. so, if i stick with 4" in the doors, i can use the Bose enclosures and skip fabbing an adapter plate?
do the grills come off or do i have to remove the door panel? someone said the grills do not come off.
i don't mind 4" in the doors. Peerless (Danish) makes some nice mids and silk dome tweeters at affordable prices.
what are the dimensions of the stock door panel enclosure? need to know how deep i can go with the new driver's magnet assembly.
what is the size of the rear speakers? 6.5"?
i don't want to go nuts. I'm thinking running the doors and the rears off my Clarion head unit (made back when Clarion owned McIntosh) and possibly using the new Bose amps to run an a/d/s dual 10" sub in the trunk.
i know i won't be winning any IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) competitions, but good enough for my purposes.
is the general consensus that the Bose stereo is basically a nightmare and to free myself of the burden? ;-)
