 i don't want to go nuts. I'm thinking running the doors and the rears off
my Clarion head unit (made back when Clarion owned McIntosh) and possibly
using the new Bose amps to run an a/d/s dual 10" sub in the trunk.

That won't sound good- there isn't a head unit that makes anywhere near
decent power for running all of that stuff.

Bose amps are a joke- you're not running any kind of sub off of those amps.
Get a real monoblock amp for the sub. It's cheap enough to get an Alpine
Class-D amp for the sub.

IMO, the Bose system sucks- I wouldn't use it myself, although the recent
systems aren't nearly as bad.
