Oil filters

I always view/wipe off the filter bracket flange before installing the new filter, so I've never had a gasket stick.  My original posting included the information that the gasket was on the old filter.

When that's happened to me, the gasket from the old filter was still
on the engine, not on the old filter where it should be.
